Case: Young Woman from China

A 21 year old woman was referred after MRI of the sella showed a pituitary microadenoma. The patient spoke very limited English.

She described a history of primary amenorrhea investigated in China and treated with the oral contraceptive pill. She also had hypothyroidism treated with levothyroxine and was on a “daily hormone injection”. She is currently off all treatments.

Physical examination was unremarkable.
